Ray Milano meets Mike Holmes
I met Mike Holmes today while on their USA Launch Tour 2010 for,HOLMES, The Magazine to Make it Right®. I’ve been a big fan of Mike Holmes since Holmes on Homes started showing on TV here in the states. I’m just as interested in seeing what they uncover as I am watching them give the homeowners the work they deserve. So why did I go see Mike? To say, “thanks”. From my perspective, a large contributing factor for why contractors have such a bad wrap is because the homework wasn’t done by the homeowner. The fact is that there are contractors providing services to which they aren’t licensed to perform. Some contractors aren’t licensed at all. It is hard for licensed, insured and experienced contractors such as myself to compete against those that are not. So when Mike Holmes brought his show to the states, homeowners started to understand the importance of hiring the right type of contractor, and that means doing the homework.
We love Holmes on Homes. Wow, they have a magazine now. We’ll will keep our eyes pealed for one.
